In short, only Husband

I came home a little late that day. My son was playing by himself while my wife slept. “She must be tired since she has to run two experiments earlier that day,” I thought to myself. This semester she needs to finish her master thesis.
So I cooked the dinner, let my son eat first… and gently went to the bedroom to wake her up. She was half awake already… and I knew something upset her. “What happened sweetie?” I asked. And flow of that day’s burden bursted out of her. I tried to calmly listen and take her out of the system. It worked.
However, being ignorant me, I proceeded to give her solutions. A perfect manual to cope the problem considering every possibilities and threats. Of which, well.. she didn’t need. Alas, she cried. Now, I’m out of card.
In the mean time, my son left his meal and ran to his mom. His spider sense is definitely better than mine. He called her, opened her arms and just sat on her lap for about 10 minutes. No sound, no hums, nothing. Yet, she was relieved… was back happy again… and was telling me that she had already have it under control. Perhaps, that is what one called maternal bond.
She did not and never does need a CEO. She only needs a friend and two faithful ears. In short, only husband.
